Maple Leaf Orthosis
Maple Leaf Orthosis

Becker Orthopedic presents the Maple Leaf Orthosis. Our new hip orthosis, developed with the Bloorview MacMillan Center in Toronto, Canada, was designed for children between the ages of 4 and 12 with Cerebral Palsy. The Maple Leaf Orthosis is intended to maintain the length of involved musculature and to control or prevent the recurrence of deformity after soft tissue release or other related hip surgeries.

The unique joint design utilizes a split cam wedge that allows the orthotist to anatomically align and accurately position the hip. The Maple Leaf Orthosis can be fitted as an immediate postoperative orthosis. It can also be applied at the first cast change or any time during the rehabilitative phase.

The pelvic section is available in two adjustable sizes with removable, washable liners. Custom pelvic sections may also be ordered through our Central Fabrication Services.
